You may also see this procedure referred to as microplaning or blading because it makes use of an exfoliating blade that skims dead skin cells and removes fine vellus hairs from your skin.

This procedure is safe for most people, with little to no risk of side effects. In fact, it is an excellent treatment for clients previously or currently using Retin-A, retinol, glycolic acid, high strengths of salicylic acids, or other aggressive topical treatments. It is also an excellent alternative for removing facial hair from women whose face is too sensitive for waxing. Repeated treatments may also lessen or remove deep acne scarring, leaving your skin surface smooth and looking radiant.

HydroJelly Mask

Jelly masks are made mainly with refined alginate. They contain more alginate than regular rubber masks.  Jelly mask texture really is like jelly, which provides full hydration and a natural cooling effect all at once. Also, they create a soft, vacuum-like seal over the skin completely. This function is the most important. Under the vacuum seal, the mask pushes hydration and nourishing ingredients (from the mask or other topical products) deep into the skin. This is why we suggest using the mask for 10-15 minutes near the end of a skincare protocol to push all applied nutrition into the skin.

PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin)

PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is the next generation treatment of platelet concentrate. PRF is a fibrin matrix comprised of platelet cytokines, growth factors and cells used to help promote skin rejuvenation, hair growth and wound healing. The blood that is collected for PRF is spun in a special low-speed centrifuge –– to isolate the platelets and white blood cells from the red blood cells.  Because there is no anticoagulant in the tube that the blood is collected, the plasma actually forms a platelet and white blood cell-rich fibrin scaffold once injected into the treatment area. The fibrin clot allows for a much slower and longer release of the growth factors and cytokines (up to 1 week versus few hours with PRP), again resulting in more clinical results.

PRF is used to address many of the same issues as PRP, but PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week, versus PRP which releases growth factors for a few hours. This means that PRF could have better longer-term benefits. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells to improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The platelets in PRF are thought to be more robust than those in PRP, therefore promoting faster healing.
